The sky turned out to be a mirror that reflected the ocean, so the knights used their magic to break the mirror. They then went foward though the break and met Zagato. Zagato was astrid a mashin that was created by his own heart and will. He would use that to defeat the Magic Knights! After a lot battles, magic, and confusion, the Magic Knights won!! They rejoiced and waited to be sent home to Tokyo, but...

They encountered Princess Emeraude. She was grown up now, not at all like small child the knights saw before. And she was here for revenge of her beloved Zagato!!!

Princess Emeraude attacked the knights, but the knights could not fight back. After all, isn't this the princess they were to protect and save? They could not possibly attack her! Then a voice was heard. The voice of Princess Emeraude. And the knights rejoiced because they thought that the one in front of them was not the real Emeraude. But they were wrong and the Princess plead them to kill her. For in front was the Emeraude that loved Zagato and lived only for Zagato. The Princess told them the true story...

A pillar of Cephiro could only think about Cephiro's happiness, never her own. The pillar could never love, because loving another will take away his/her concetration for Cephiro. When Emeraude fell in love with Zagato, she began to think about Zagato's happiness instead of Cephiro's, so Cephiro became a world of confusion and darkness. Princess Emeraude started forgetting her duties as a pillar. It was not Zagato's fault that Cephiro is what it is now. It was Emeraude's fault for neglecting her duties. So Emeraude thought that if she hid away from Zagato, she would forget him, but she kept longing for him and for happiness. So Emeraude summoned the Magic Knights. The Magic Knights were here to kill the her, because the pillar could not commit suicede and no one in Cephiro could harm the pillar. There is a spell that only the pillar knows. That is to summon the ones who will kill him/her when Cephiro falls into ruin....

So the Princess Emeraude's good conscience slipped away and all that was left was the soul that loves Zagato and only Zagato. So as she moved foward to kill the knights the knights in turn prepared their magic to kill her. And so they did, completing Emeraude's last and only wish: To be where Zagato is...
